How Do You Start Your Day?

As I head back to work after a 2+ month leave of absence, I have built habits that give me the most out of my day. It’s as simple as this: I wake up and decide how I feel about myself based on who I am, not what I have been through or what I am about to experience in the day.

It is super important to speak positivity over your day and your life. No matter where you are in your life, you can use those struggles and obstacles and turn the wording around about how you feel about them. You see, the mind is a powerful thing, as we all know, and personally, I have had my battles with it. The circumstances in my life caused me to feel less than (relationships and in work) so much that I was convincing myself that it was true.
But now, I am a true believer in how powerful building positive habits and speaking daily affirmations over yourself can change the course of your day before it even begins.
The Affirmations
Though, your journey is completely different from mine, I wanted to share a few of the affirmations I speak over myself as soon as I open my eyes:
I am who God says I am
I am MORE than enough
Today is ALREADY a good day, Everything is ALREADY okay, Everything I need, I ALREADY have.
After I read my affirmations, I then read my daily devotional by Joyce Meyer and then pray and thank God for the day before and waking me up in the morning, amongst other things. Keep in mind, I do all of this before I even pick up my phone to immerse myself in social media and checking my messages I’ve received during the night.
" I want God to always put me first so I have to make a conscious decision to do the same with Him. "
So, as I have said, I am heading back to work; a retail world of amazing experiences but also some of the most hectic days of my life. But, I know the way I go into it, will effect me much more negatively than any interaction ever could. Believe in your positive mind and start your day by speaking positivity over it and yourself.
Sending you love and light
